Within 4 to 6 weeks, we will work on establishing a visually strong brand with a firm brand strategy, in which we think along with the brand positioning within your market. After the project, there will be a unique, luxurious brand identity design AND a brand strategy that provides direction and insight into how to use your brand consistently.

STEP 1: BRAND STRATEGY & BRAND POSITIONING

The Strategy phase is the most crucial: it sets the mood, frameworks and vision for your brand. We’ll start with the brand positioning, what you want to achieve — entrepreneurial goals & brand essence — and who you want to attract. The central question is: Why should potential customers choose your brand?

 

In addition, in this phase we also discuss your visual inspiration and your expectations for the next phase.

STEP 2: VISUAL BRAND IDENTITY INCLUDING LOGO SUITE & BRAND SYSTEM

Based on the brand strategy, we start working on the brand identity, including logo design and other branding elements that suit your brand and appeal to the customers. A concept board is provided beforehand to shape the vision for it. As soon as you approve it, we will start working on the brand identity design and the other branding elements.

 

At the end of this phase, you have all the key elements that give your brand personality — from visual brand identity to tone of voice. Plus you will also receive a Brand Guide that you can share with the team so that branding can be used consistently.

STEP 3: MARKETING MATERIALS

This is where our marketing knowledge comes into play. In the branding strategy session we will also talk about the channels you will use to position or promote your brand, but also the customer journey that your (potential) customer goes through. Based on this information, we advise you which marketing materials are most suitable.

 

In addition to the marketing materials that help you promote your brand or make it visible, we also look at it from the branding perspective. Which finishes suit your brand? Consider, for example, luxury printing techniques such as gold foil, the type of paper or shapes. But also digital formats such as Instagram templates or PDF templates. We look at the strategy as well as the corporate identity design that has been created.

 

Because we focus on a diverse variation of companies with the SBD, the needs for marketing materials are quite diverse. In addition, the function of a marketing material is different as well. For example, one brand wants to use their business card for networking and another to make it easier to book an appointment. Therefore, two marketing materials are chosen from the list below:

x Copyright on the designs — what you do get is a license to use the branding for your brand. You just can’t change the branding or resell it (in the event of a takeover or merger). If you want to take over the copyright, you can contact us about this.

 

x Spelling and grammar check.

 

x Editable files — these are the files in which the design can be modified. These are not supplied and cannot be purchased separately.

 

x More than two feedback rounds per phase — there are two feedback rounds including the service. For extra feedback rounds we charge an extra fee of € 75.00 excluding VAT per round per hour.

 

x Illustrations — we are not illustrators. You will have to outsource this separately or look for a brand designer who specializes in this area.

 

x Printing materials — advice is given on how and where to get your materials printed. The printing costs for this are at your own expense and are not included in the price of this service.

 

x Premium & paid fonts — this will of course be discussed with you in advance.

 

x Endless procrastination and no commitment — we have a rigid process and a timeline with milestones & deadlines. You outsource the project to us, but we also expect you to stick to the timeline and the agreements — just like you expect us to meet our deadlines. Of course we discuss this in advance and agreements are made in advance. It is ultimately a collaboration between us, your team and the brand.

IMPORTANT BEFORE YOU SCHEDULE A MEETING

Before you contact us, please be aware of the following:

 

• What is included and exclusive — or excluded — from the Strategic Brand Design Service. During the introduction, we really talk about your project and its implementation. We are not going to discuss what is and what is not included in this service. Of course you can ask questions about the materials that you will eventually receive.

 

• The time commitment — for this service to run smoothly, all parties must adhere to the timeline as agreed prior to the project. This applies to the timely delivery of the questionnaire and feedback, but also to the timely payment of invoices. Therefore, indicate in advance what suits you best and make time for it by checking how much time you need to be able to provide feedback, for example.

If the project is overrun, it will be scheduled at a later date. Please take into account that there will be a longer delay because only a limited number of projects are booked per month. In addition, a late fee will be charged because we need to create space in our schedule which results in missing out on other projects.

 

• Our terms and conditions — these are binding once the contract is signed, so please read them carefully. This way you are aware of what your rights and obligations are during our collaboration. You can find our general terms and conditions here.

 

• Our working hours — FGC can be reached from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. We respond to emails within two business days.

 

• Editable files & copyright — as a branding agency, we choose not to transfer them within a project. This is something that many graphic designers and brand designers do not do. Editable files include all files in which the customer can make adjustments to the design. Copyright means that you, as a customer, may freely use the branding created for your brand under license, but may not modify or resell it.

Editable files are not transferable. Copyright can be. We have a fixed fee for this. If you are interested in this, please indicate this during the introductory meeting so that it can be included in the quotation.

 

• Publication of the brand identity designs — the brand identity designs can be included in our portfolio and shared via social media as soon as the final design is ready. However, we can talk about confidentiality, if this applies to your project.

EXTRA'S & EXPANSIONS

The service can be expanded with additional services and designs. Keep in mind that the timeline will then be longer. This can be discussed during on-boarding. The total amount will also be higher than if you only book the Strategic Brand Design service.

STRATEGIC BRAND DESIGN PRICING

The price of the Strategic Brand Design service is € 2750 excluding VAT. The payment is done in parts: 50% non-refundable down payment, 25% upon delivery of the brand strategy and 25% upon completion of the project.

 

Please note that additional marketing materials or services will be billed differently and will be charged separately on the invoice.

DO YOU OFFER ANY REBRANDING SERVICES?

 

The Strategic Brand Design is aimed at brands that are established and want to rebrand as well as luxury or high end brands who are just starting out. The only thing that would look differently in the process is that the brand strategy will be focused on a GAP-analysis instead of a new brand strategy. It is still possible to start over fresh but mostly with a rebranding you look at the current situation and where you want to take your brand.

IS A WEBSITE INCLUDED?

A website is not included in the price but can be booked alongside the SBD service. For websites I work together with a couple of website developers but contact will run through us.

HOW MANY ADJUSTMENT ROUNDS DO I GET?

Per phase you will get two adjustment rounds. In our timeline you will find the exact amount.

 

Need more adjustments rounds? We have a set fee per hour that we charge per extra adjustment round.

CAN I PAY IN TERMS?

Yes and no — confusing right? Let us explain.

 

You will pay 50% before we start te project. This is your deposit. We ask this to cover expenses related to the project and this way we know that you are motivated to work with us and put in the work. After the brand strategy we will send our second invoice of 25% and after the whole project is done we will send a final invoice for the remaining 25%. 

 

When all the invoices are paid, you will get all the files. This is custom for all our services at Fiona Gobbo Creative. 

HOW LONG DOES THE SBD TAKE?

In our experience, a full Strategic Brand Design or Rebranding takes about 4-8 weeks. We aim to keep it within 5 weeks but we take our time to create your branding.

 

If you work with us on a SBD we will share and discuss our timeline with milestones and deadlines — for both you and your team as well as for us. It is important to us that the whole process runs smoothly and that we can deliver the end results on time.

 

I’M NOT A LUXURY BRAND. CAN WE STILL WORK TOGETHER?

For us luxury is a pretty broad branche — you could be the next Hermès but you could also be a small business like a boutique or coffee shop. For us it is mostly important that you are a brand that wants to add something of quality to the world, you love our design style & are ready to commit to the project.
